Leader, innovator, and originator
are only
a few of the many words that can be used to accurately describe
this graduate from the University of Oregon. A Physical Education
major, he is credited with being the first Olympic gold medal
winner from that institution. He has consistently demonstrated
his versatility as a teacher, coach, counselor, public speaker and
sports writer. His monthly sports column, "The Inside Lane"
was tremendously popular in Europe as a TV Guide contributor and
received rave reviews.
